1. Information We Collect

When you use FontScanner, we may collect the following types of information:

• Account data: name and email address provided during registration.
• Scan data: URLs and files you submit for scanning, and the resulting font detection reports (see Section 6 for how long detailed reports are kept).
• Payment data: transaction identifiers processed by our payment provider (iyzico). We do not store raw card numbers or CVV codes on our servers. Credit card details are transmitted directly to iyzico's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure and are never handled by FontScanner's servers.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interaction timestamps for improving the service.

2. Chrome Extension

The FontScanner browser extension identifies fonts on the page you are viewing. Detection runs entirely in your browser: it reads CSS and computed styles already loaded on that page. The extension does not upload the page, screenshots, or the detected font list to FontScanner unless you click through to our website.

• No account is required to use the extension.
• We do not collect browsing history through the extension.
• If you click a FontScanner link (for example to check licensing), your browser opens fontscanner.app and the website privacy terms in this policy apply to that visit.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the FontScanner service.
• Process credit card payments securely through iyzico and manage your scan credit balance.
• Send transactional emails (scan completion notifications, payment receipts).
• Detect abuse and ensure the security of our platform.
• Improve and develop new features based on aggregate usage patterns.

4. Credit Card & Payment Security

All credit card transactions are processed by iyzico, a PCI-DSS certified payment processor. FontScanner never stores, transmits, or has access to your full card number, expiration date, or CVV/CVC security code. When you enter your card details during checkout, this information goes directly to iyzico's secure servers. FontScanner only receives a tokenized reference that cannot be used to reconstruct your card details. For more information on how iyzico handles your data, please visit iyzico.com.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with trusted third-party service providers that are necessary to operate our service (e.g., payment processing via iyzico, email delivery, cloud hosting). These providers are contractually obligated to keep your data confidential and to use it only for the purposes we specify.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data (name, email, credit balance) and a lightweight scan history (domain or file name, date, and status) for as long as your account is active.

Detailed scan reports are kept for 14 days. Per-page results, detected fonts, health checks, crawler logs, and uploaded images used for font identification are automatically deleted 14 days after each scan. A PDF export of a report is only available while that detailed data remains — export it within 14 days if you need a permanent copy. Uploaded PDF documents are processed and deleted from our servers immediately after font extraction, not after 14 days. Unauthenticated homepage font checks follow the same 14-day detailed-report retention.

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or accounting purposes (e.g., payment records may be kept for up to 7 years as required by applicable law).

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your locale preference. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@fontscanner.app.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest for sensitive data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice on our website before the change becomes effective.
